A bar. With a troll.

A silly concept snowballed a few years ago into an amazing platform and outlet for so many silly stories and thematic elements. Principally The Troll Bar is a hole in the ground that I build over the course of a couple of days a little wooden shack. Drinks are donated by others as the event is no-commerce. Volunteers take turns tending bar and giving the donated drinks back to attendees. Always embodying the trollish nature of the piece.
- You are trolls, hence being short and people having to be on their hands and knees to be served.
- You’re not happy to be serving people.
- You don’t need to be polite. Or courteous, or even good at tending bar.
I initially thought I’d need to convince people into taking bar shifts. This concern was very quickly lost as people were desperate to have a turn taking on a persona and interacting with others.
